Alot of jeeps I've looked at have rust on the tailgate and underneath the tailgate where the hinges are. How do you repair this?

Depends how bad it really is. Any type of corrosion begins on teh surface. But when left untreated it gets worse under the metal. Once you start grinding down rust, you may find it keeps going and going and going (IE-My Jeep, lol). But Around the hinges I would imagine if its just on the surface, you could sand it down, lay some fiberglass over it and replace the rusted hinges-make sure to get all the rust off though and clean it real good or itll come back. The get some POR15 and apply that

or your other option is bondo to fill it in, but no self respecting FSJer would do that to a vehicle, so theres yet another alternative-cut it completely away and spray paint it black (Also my Jeep)...
