Found a J20 today. Anyone want the engine if I buy it?`

Found a parked '79 J20 with my dream parts package a few miles from my house. Body's pretty much shot, but I want to try to save up the cash to get it for the axles, tranny, and transfer case. I could keep the 360 engine and have a spare (which would be nice) but I'd rather part with it to offset the cost and make the wife happier. If this happens it would probably be this summer and depending if I got a summer job or not (I'm a teacher, so summer job = play money). If you're possible interested, let me know!

I forgot to mention. SUPER cheap. 150 Bucks. If it's any consideration, it was a county truck for a while, and according to the owner it was rebuilt before it was auctioned off. I should have let him jump it off, but he said the last time it was jumped it cranked right up. Of course, it's an AMC.

How much were you hoping for the engine?

I was saying $150 for the engine ) I wish the truck was $150. Sorry, maybe I was a bit foggy there. My buddy's trying to get me to keep the engine, too, which wouldn't be a bad idea. It's still a great find!

Man I can't believe you are EVEN saying that. With all the clean rigs that keep popping up in the NW territories you can't be wishing to be over/down here for FSJ's. I bet you could find 5 cheap virtually rust-free FSJ's between you and Salt Lake in a matter of hours.

The grass is always greener. I jumped the fence and have been staring back over at the other side ever since..
