(Gonna do a little bragging)
Yesterday, after a LLlllllooong battle with Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) Los Angeles, my son swore his oath to support and defend the constitution of the United States against enemies foreign and domestic. He will sign his contract with USMC tomorrow and ship off to bootcamp (San Diego) after Christmas.
My son has wanted to join the military since he was little; he actually turned down football scholarship offerS to do so. Needless to say, I am EXTREMELY proud of the man he is becoming!
In our family, we are almost all veterans or law enforcement over the last 3 generations (his big sister is currently in the Army at Joint Base Lewis McCord, two of my nephews are Navy, etc.) but he will be the first Marine. Looking forward to seeing this dude in his dress blues!
