Thank You!

Just to add to the chaos, in addition to the 4 Wagoneers waiting outside, I picked this up today. 1965 with title, super cheap. I offered to buy just the dash and got the whole truck.

Finally some progress. Painted the firewall, bolted the 4L80E to the 6.0, and dropped them in place using Flop Shop mounts. Fit like it was born there. Much more room than the stock engine. I still need to build a trans crossmember. But, I did get the project moved over to the new shop!

That is a really cool combination. You are going to like that 4L80E.

2 J-trucks and 4 wagons, yawza! My bride would be at wits end!

Out of curiousity, any clearance issues with that 4l80e? I keep dreaming about swapping my LT1/4l60 to a 6.0/4 or 6l80, but thought the 80 was too big to fit without floorboard modifications.

That is going to be one strong truck!

There looks to be plenty of room around the 4L80E. And I mean PLENTY. There is about 5” all around, the end of the t/c adapter is about where the floor opens up under the seat. I’m not anticipating any issues, I haven’t installed the t/c yet however. The Flop Shop mounts are awesome.

You should see the inside of the old part of the house. It’s gutted down to the studs. Still living in the travel trailer, for another couple of months at least. ☹️

Thanks, and good to know.. or maybe not considering that is one less reason not to do it.. 8^)

Not much progress lately. Been collecting parts, getting the new shop squared away, and this week, dealing with snow.

Did buy a 2001 Cherokee Sport - excellent condition, super low miles, and priced cheap! already installed a bit of a lift and some 31" BFG's...

Nice score on the XJ. Been looking for a low miles one myself.

All total I measured about 5 feet. But sitting right now it’s about 3 feet, 4 feet in spots. The quad with the plow had a hard time, had to knock it down with the Scrambler first!

Can’t believe I’m doing this, but life has gotten complicated to the point that I need to simplify. Selling this as a project. Keeping the LS, trans, and Transfer. Including door panels, headliner, most recent set of wheels/tires, a pair of rear flares and extra front fenders. First person that waves $1200 in front of my face gets it. Currently titled and registered/plated in my name in Oregon. I’ll post up a for sale thread soon...
