Another AAL Thread

Has anyone used these rusty's aal's? They claim to be full length, but are they really? I called them to ask but the lady said she had no way of knowing and couldn't give me dimensions on them. If they are in fact full length they'd be a great addition to an SOA wouldn't they? (Minus the shocks of course)

I have the Front and Rears here at the house and they are indeed full length. They are almost as long as the main leaf and actually install between the main leaf and the second leaf making them a true full length.

Would it be possible for you to post pictures? The main leaf is where the problem is at, not enough support. Thanks for the response.

Here ya go. I would order 4 more spring clamps as each set of AAL's only come with one and out springs have 3 installed.

How much lift will it give?

The Rusty's full length aal in an SOA front added almost exactly 2" of lift to the rig I installed them on. However, they were the 2 leaf '78 Chief front springs.
And when the shackle inverted the driver's front spring broke almost exactly where the aal ends on the main leaf.

I was pleased with the ride and lift. Next plan is to try and use them on the rear of my Comanche with some BJ's front FSJ extended shackles.

I wondered where that thing broke. I'm getting an extra set of stock springs and I'm going to build a stronger leaf pack that way.

I believe I am going to use the 'second from the top' leaf in the extra rear pack I have and add it to the pack on the front. It's much thicker and almost a perfect length. For the rear I will probably zip the eyes off the top leaf in the extra pack and add that to what's on the Jeep now. I'll post pics when I get to it, I'm waiting for some centering pins from summit.
