Yankee Boy

Our first day out was pretty casual with a group of 7 FSJs, an Exploder and a Durango.

We did not get as many pix here this year, so please share up your favorite Yankee Boy and Governor's Basin pix.

Phoebe on the trail with NOS qt. Chief's 1st trip up to Yankee Boy Basin. We had wind and rain up there that was wicked cold after a while.

Edit: more where that came from:

Really, really great pix y'all. Makes me so envious and disappointed that I couldn't make again this year, but "a man's got to know his limitations" ($$$).

Seeing those pictures, I can almost smell/taste the cool mountain air and feel the cold snow in my own hands. Thanks!!!

King Flint was the best caption to fit the pic.I know you were counting FSJ's but the pic looks more like you were giving us instruction on a counter attack for the fj's or something.

YEAH, that's it, a counter attack on the FJs... I thought it was funny enough that Shane Oliver got to camp between the FSJs at KOA.

it went by so quick because nothing went wrong this year

I know for one I'm going back up to that Sunnyside valley before snow hits.

you got ALL of what I found :P I hope Kiera liked the silver spoon. I was pretty stoked to find that laying on top of the ground.

We'll probably shoot up there sometime in August and dedicate the afternoon to poking around there and taking pics and whatnot. I want to check out that smoking mine hole.

And thanks for the stuff.
Yes, the smoking mine hole would be cool to check out. That was neat. I didn't even notice that on the way in. I am curious as to what is causing it. My guess it is pressure and not geo-thermal.
Take a sniff at it before you jump in, to be sure it isn't bad.
