Old CJ Front Axle Fit a old Wagoneer?

Will an 1972 CJ5 Dana 44 front fit a 1969 Wagoneer? I think they are even narrower then the Wag but not sure.

The CJ axle is considerably narrower than a Wagoneer axle.

And a CJ never came with a 44 front, unless someone alreayd swapped in a waggy or scout axle in front.

Plus....Jeep never put a Dana 44 in the front of a CJ

A '72 CJ should have a Dana 30 in it. But like everyone has said...about 5" too narrow.
