Intake or adapter?

I want to put an edelbrock carb onto my 4 barrel 1976 jeep wagoneer amc 360. Is there a big benefit to getting an edelbrock intake ~$300 over an AMC spreadbore to squarebore adapter from summit racing~$60?

yes. the adapter will have horrible flow and will knock the fuel out of the air.

And are prone to warp and cause gasket failure.

I had good luck with mine, running Holley carburetors.

But if you can spare the extra $240, or find a used one, that would be a better option.

Watch craigslist, ebay, and Facebook marketplace. They show up occasionally for alot less than new.
