Exclamation 83 Intake Manifold hole?

Today I was snooping around the engine bay in the Wagoneer going over some regular check ups, and decided to double check all of my connections on the intake Manifold, wall going over the connections I noticed that there is a threaded hole with nothing in it behind the Thermostat housing offset to the left a little bit or passenger side, It's not the Temp Sending unit, That's installed and offset to the right or drivers side of the engine. Unfortunately it's in a spot where I'm an able to take a photo for reference so any thoughts as to what should be there are welcome! The intake manifold is stock W/EGR and Emission equipped for the AMC 360

Thanks!

What are some things that can happen or I can experience with this out like it is?

Don't have a good answer for you.
Check around for the CTO valve for AMC V8
