Are most guys making QT fluid or buying it?

Hey guys,

I wanted to see how many guys are making their own QT fluid as opposed to buying it?

If you are making it.....what is the receipe?

I tried looking for the receipe but I didnt see it.

Thank you....

4.5 pts straight 30w non-detergentt motor oil.8 oz limited slip differential friction modifier concentrate. After tcase and reduction unit is 'completely' drained put theLSD concentrate into the reduction unit first. then top off with motor oil. put the rest of the motor oil in the tcase body. Then drive some figure eights for awhile(10-15 min) to get the stuff mixed properly.By the time you buy the oil and friction modifier it's about as much and easier to just buy the special QT secret sauce.

When I had my QT, I bought it from BJ's Offroad. The Crown version is TCL-1, or something like that. It was easier than "making" it from a recipe I found on the internet.

With the last QT equipped J-10 I had, I decided to try an all synthetic brew using Amsoil products. I knew it was going to cost more, but wanted to see if it would work. It did, very well.

If I get another QT equipped FSJ, I'll probably buy the stock magic juice.

TCL1 is a product of Crown Automotive. You could search around but pretty sure BJs Offroad has the best price. I was told recently that the Mopar QT juice has been discontinued.
