Lift springs + lift Shackles?

So I've see some people have lift shackles. How bad would it be to do the Rough Country 3in lift and a 1-1.5 lift shackle? That would save a little and give a little right? The people I've seen on here that have done something like this seem to have done the SOA. So has anyone done it and how did it drive.

I've used the search button and only came up with reverse shackles and I don't want that.

Hope you all don't get tired of my posts. I figured I'd start a new thread so that more people would see it. But maybe this time reply!

I did that exact combination on my truck. Sits nice and drives great. I put Dick Cepek 35" Crusher tires under it. Tire clearance was a problem in front so I had the body shop trim 1/2 " from the front corner of the fenders near the bumper. Here are the pics:

Very nice truck there Trex!

I do like that color combo...and ironically, those are the same wheels I settled on.
