Jp magazine (and others) are going digital only

DANGIT!!! I do not like digital magazines! I love getting my JPs in the mail and reading through them; It’s the only magazine I subscribe too. I guess we all saw this coming but it really sucks that it’s finally here.

I agree rang,.....

I knew it was coming,....

I have said for years there will never be a substitute for printed material

( in my opinion )

something that never crashes, you can pick it up, put it down
it is right there for you,....you can cut a photo out and put it on the wall,....
there are no computer hacks trying to get your personal info thru the pages of the magazine !!!

we are becoming dinosaurs, but I will hang on to everything from the past
as long as I can,....like the FSJ's !

Well shoot... How disappointing. Have you ever tried to finish your sit down business in the bathroom while trying to manage a laptop you were just reading?

Madness I tell ya.

Yea, that's not a good idea.

I do miss having a good magazine selection. That was the only way years ago to get the stuff you needed.

Get an Ipad.

It really is sad but it's been coming for awhile now. I'm surprised it's taken this long to be honest. It's like when digital cameras took over 35mm. When's the last time you took a picture and had the film developed so you can save them pics? Your phone or computer crashes, many years of memories (pics) disappear. Kids nowadays won't get to look back through their parents photo albums to see themselves as they grew up. Technology isn't a good thing sometimes. Digital isn't a good thing sometimes.

Totally, Brad! I love thumbing through old mags when I am at a second hand store or friends house. Not just for the articles and pictures but also the ads. I personally keep a rag for a few months, pull a picture or two out of it, then toss it in the blue bin but I love happening across an old magazine or 10.

We had a friend that scanned all their hard copy pictures to a hard drive, then tossed them to save space. All their pics were digital (except the ones they had hanging). Computer got hit with Ransomware and they were all gone. So sad. We now put all our digital pictures (we want to keep) on a hard drive about twice a year and store that hard drive in my safe. That way if we get robbed/fire/computer crash, we only lose a couple months or pictures at a time. But yeah, no more grabbing grannies old picture book and thumbing through pictures. Our kids/grandkids won't be grabbing daddies/pappies old Jp mags and thumbing through them.
