I was working on getting all my windows to go up and down and doors to lock. Got them all working except the driver side rear.
Here is where it gets weird. If you hit the button to make the window go up it makes all 4 doors lock. Window doesn't go up. It does go down with the button on the back door but not with the button on the driver's door. In order to get the window to go back up I had to hook it up to an external 12v source.

Any ideas?

ooooh man you got some gremlins in that thing !!!!get yourself an ohm meter and check all the switches for function.you will have to do this with one at a time with wires disconnected from them. when you are happy that they are good and not feeding power thru them in some bizzare loop when they are not supposed to start to gently wiggle wires and see if any thing happens my guess would be some wire in that window circuit is abraded and touching ground.

check the wires in the drivers door:
1. at the flexing point by the hinge
2. inside to be sure they haven't gotten chewed by the window mechanism
3. if you have a spare drivers window switch try it. water leaks seem to home in on it.

I worked on mine last weekend. Drivers door window switch working properly. Power to motor through switch but the motor will not operate. motor ohms out fine. Thinking something is funky run power direct from battery. Motor will not function. Bad motor right? Get in last night and the motor for the drivers side front window is working like a champ. Go figure. I have a bad door switch for the locks though. Work for going down(lock position) no power through switch for unlock postion. problem is non of the locks work at all. Fun fun fun.
