88 GW Power Seat Switch

I'm trying to get the seat switch to operate on tilt and recline. It goes forward and back just fine, so I have voltage to it.
I removed the switch from the wiring connection to clean, etc. Problem is I forgot how the two brass strips with the tabs on them go on.
I put the brass contact grid on the switch, then the insulating paper, and now I need to know how those two brass strips go on.
I did a search but couldn't find anything.
Can any body help?
Thanks.

There is a thread over on FSJN by Sirrus with pictures and steps to restoring his switches. Hopefully it will help you.

Isn't the entire switch assembly pretty much symmetrical, so really all you need to do is rotate the control 180* if the operation is backward? Pic of whatever you're describing might help.

Thanks for the info chubbinius. I don't see a pic of what I currently need but will be beneficial in the future, I'm sure.

Here a link to the pic. Hope it works. The switch is right side up. I have the brass plate and insulating on, and now need to put those two brass strips on.

I think they they go on the corner contacts, but not sure.

Thanks again for your help.

Nope. There are different left to right. When I installed my passenger seat switch, forward and back were correct but up and down were backward. Flip the switch over and reinstall, then forward and backward were wrong but up and down were correct. I had a spare switch so I swapped switches and now there are correct. Of the 5 switches I had on hand, one was stamped "LEFT" on the housing. I don't know if that means the factory did it or someone else did it after the fact. Also don't know if the factory only marked left ones?
