WAY COOL! I've always wanted to see Valmet powered Jeeps. I knew they existed, but I'd never seen one until you shared!

That looks pretty good! Nice to see some FSJ's in Finland.

And your English is much better than some English speaking Americans on this board!

What size and specs engine do you have? turbo?

Great project,

Pictures look very good.

It looks like a continuation of "Sport Side Dan's" work in Belgium. He mostly restores, you have taken your Jeep to a new level.

Very very nice.

thanks! been reading ifsja couple years now and figured to post something

welding with mig is not really my "thing" .. im a how you say - class welder
? anyways i weld for living mostly in construction sites.

this Jeep has no turbo yet. mayby next winter.. probably will go with original style switzer + ic. dont really care the power it makes i just LOVE that whistle it makes .......... it should make 150hp / 500nm

not much progress to share.. these volkswagen dailydrivers keep me busy allways broke

found 1 picture from last summer
lowrider.. looked great but tyres rubbed real bad.

well... that portal Jeep is THE MOST weirdo jeep

it NOT finished yet! so it looks like crap.

i have mopar 360 police special to go in to it but for now its a diesel..
and i allso planned to change the suspension. maybe 3link front + 4link rear or something..?

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=42743
fully rebuilt. over bored new pistons rods etc. only thing old is block and valve covers.

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=43758
it was supposed to be spare parts car for another jeeps..

and then i realise i just bought pair of portals and it looked like this >
http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=42856

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=42854
fabbed new rock sliders and also here you see that i stole some steel from my old back doors to the new cab sides. and floor was so rusted so i made new.

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=49576
added little badass attitude to jeep and also wont hit front corners in trees so easily..

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=51247
just before i started makin rollgage.

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=51714
stinger. didnt come any better ideas

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=51717
rear rollgage. and her you see some changes in rear of the frame.

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=52725
new floor panels..

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=71396
so i had engine and trans.. and no clutch cover.. so i made my own not pretty but it works!

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=72779
http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=72778
front and rear traction bars. those portals will twist your leafs without these.. and i now they are Sh#T but theyll go away anyways.

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=72879
hydro boost from 90" somethin chevy van. allso the radiator is from 6.5 turbo diesel van

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=74047
and offcourse it has orbitrol steering! somekindof tilt on that thing but it didnt work mostly cuz i was pretty wasted when building that.. cheap beer..

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=74137
turbo. didnt fit under hood..

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=75863

I think you'll like the diesel economy too much to go to a gas hog Mopar V8.

allmost ready..

hi! its been crazy couple weeks.. trying to get the jeep ready for the annual easter -"american car show" ...

i won 4x4project of the year trophy (offipalsta.com and our jeep club (finnish Jeep drivers club)
asked if i could bring my jeep there.. hell yes!

got it going and went for a test drive last weekend

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ctureid=101811

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ctureid=101810

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ctureid=101815
tires are there only for extra weigh

test drive was ok. only broke one lug nut on passenger side front tyre?
rear cardan didnt hold the tractor like torq so it cutted bolts from d-20
cardan is now ok. we made new spacer. it has now a UAZ Cabriolet cardan front/jeep rear.

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ctureid=101809

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ctureid=101941
bolts didnt fit so here goes the spacer..

figured to put backup winch too.. dont need it often but its nice to have in there and it makes driving easier. dont really matter how stuck i get this will help a lot!

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ctureid=102180

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ctureid=102179

i made roof rack/light bar and made some modifications in that roll gage and all zink plated offcourse

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ctureid=102520

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ctureid=102600

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ctureid=102601

oh and made new front bumper/winch mount. im happy how it turned out.
still got some wire spaghetti to do in that jeep...

Seen a sign or two like this before....

Yeah man, the US Army has me in Alaska, I don't think they would take too kindly if I just swapped spots with ya! However, if you do get a chance to bring a Jeep over here, this is a great place to come and explore, absolutely impressive. Definitely the prettiest place I have ever been stationed. Hoping to take a Northern European tour sometime for a family vacation, would be just flat out cool to go see. Love all the old school diesel stuff man, I would rock it in a heart beat if I could find em here. As it is I am doing a GM Diesel conversion on my wagoneer. Just taking some time....
