Can you believe this happened??

We have a feral cat hanging around the house yowling at all hours. I go out with my bb gun on ONE pump, shoot at it, and hear a "thunk" from the area of my Cherokee... now I wasn't at all shooting in the direction OF my Cherokee! I figured it somehow ricocheted and hit it; what I DIDN'T figure was that IT HIT THE LEFT SIDE REAR GLASS AND TOTALLY SHATTERED IT!! I don't have the sliding windows. I'm sick... just sick...

Sounds like somebody needs to hit the range and learn how to shoot straight. One shot one kill brother. LOL

That sucks. Hows the cat?

LOL... seriously, the Chero was off to my left 90 degrees and I was shooting straight off my porch... I have NO clue what it ricocheted off of.

The cat hasn't been back... so far... I guess that's a plus.

One pump is so slow that I can see the BB leave the barrel, too... amazing...

Speaking of the range... I can hit an 8 inch plate 11 out of 11 shots from 30 yards with my .40 SW pistol... I don't think THAT was the problem, LOL.

I think the kid across the street shot his BB gun at your window at the exact same time that you shot yours at the cat. He has waited for weeks for just the right moment to get you back for not letting him ride his bike on your lawn.

But seriously, hard to imagine a BB picking up speed after it left the barrel and being able to bounce and break a window.

Yikes sorry to hear about the window. I was thinking BB guns ricochet easy, till the dude got smaked with the .50 I was shooting in my garage at 4 pumps and the BB hit my cheek under my right eye.

It is amazing... I heard it hit the truck right after I pulled the trigger, but it was dark (I had the porch light on) and I didn't see what it hit 'til the next morning... I had NO CLUE that it had done the damage, but there is a little, BB sized hole in the glass with the sparkles of cracks through the WHOLE THING from front to back, top to bottom... good ole safety glass did what it's supposed to do.

I kinda know how you feel. When I bought my house I was pulling out bushes with my powerstroke. I moved my wife's Liberty cause it was in the way. Moved it about 100ft away. All hooked up to my hitch I started yanking. Then BOOM. I was like Great Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley Moogley? The pin that held my receiver in sheared and the receiver ricocheted off the back hatch window. It shattered in a million peices. I did not find the receiver for about a month later. I was about 50 yards from the Liberty in the woods. I was so stumped how this could possibly happen. Thank god no one was hurt or killed.

its amazing how things have that magic ability to find glass and break it no matter how far away it is.

yeasr ago we had a german shepard dog chasing the horses around. they would easily kill that dog, dad went out and fired his 22 pistol in the opposite direction from the dog, just to scare it away.

PLOP..dead dog...he his a tractor front end loader bucket, rickochet over killed the dog...

Should have seen the look on his face...

Can someone walk me through the procedure of getting the old one out (well, just push it on out, I know, but the rubber) and the new one I'm getting in? Will/should/can I use my old rubber, or is there a source for new? I haven't checked BJs, but I'm hoping I won't have to.
