Headliner "retainer" question

    Headliner "retainer" question

    I am not happy with the headliner I made up and I think I know why.... the original was two piece and had a plastic strip that "joined the two pieces....right?

    I unfortunately dont have one of these "t" strips (and I NEED one badly) but I want to go back to the two piece look.

    Any ideas on a substitute strip/retainer?

    I have the correct fabric and also have some ideas on the backing board so that wont be a problem.

                Don't forget you will need the metal strip it snaps onto as well.
                I was thinking of using a couple of well placed plastic buttons into the roof trusses for extra support to keep from sagging if moisture did happen to get up there. (although I sealed the holes)

                  710 - I thought the roofbow in that area had the reciever "groove" already part of it ?? Guess I better look closer.

                    At some point that metal strip changed to plastic.
