1991 GW - Door Jamb Switch Wiring

Hi Guys,

I'm finally looking back into an issue I've had for ages.
All my interior lights randomly turn on and stay on in my '91. The only thing I can do to turn them off is remove the fuse.

The rear left door jamb switch has no wire connected to it so I'm guessing the wire is floating around in the B-pillar somewhere, occasionally making contact to ground.

I've tried fishing with a coat hanger to find the wire but never had any luck.

Any idea how to find the wire?

Also, does the wire come from the top of the pillar or the bottom? I've studied the FSM and the Oljeep diagrams but never quite managed to figure that out.

Thanks!
Bryn

My wires for the rear door switches come down from the top. The wires originate off of the overhead cabin lights. You may have to partially remove a overhead panel to get to the wiring.

That's great news, thank you!

Finding the wire hanging from above should be much easier than trying to feed it up the pillar from the bottom.
When I get the headliner out I'll see if I can sort it.

Thank you!
