U bolts for new lift

I got my new BDS springs mounted on the passenger side but quickly learned that the U bots provided were too narrow for my 74 J10. I just went to to the store and ordered new custom length Ubolts for the front diff. any thoughts? Seems like a good solution. Would there be any reason the included U bolts were a bit too narrow to fit over the axel? I noticed the spring set is a tad bit wider but it seems to fit up nicely with a bit of tugging and beating. Thoughts?
