Best Wife Ever....

Hi guys,

I've been visiting your forum for years but never posted because I didn't have a Jeep. But I've been wanting a full size jeep for awhile now and would normally just visit to drool over your guys rigs. Well for Christmas my lovely wife changed that....it was a total surprise.

Woke up to open gifts with my wife before we headed out to visit the inlaws. She told me that all my gifts have a theme and that I would have to figure out the theme before she would show me the last gift.

Gift #1: Gremlins on DVD
Gift #2: David Bowe CD
Gift #3: Voltron T-Shirt

She then asks....."so whats the theme?" I said "ummm, they all occurred in the 80's??" She then takes me outside to find about 3" of snow ( we rarely get snow in Chattanooga, and never on Christmas) and my new GW!!

http://https://mail.google.com/mail/...f_gi4m8ex70&zw

What a great gift and a great wife. I probably would have talked myself out of spending the money for years and years.

I'm not much of a mechanic but I really do look forward to making a few little upgrades to make this rig mine. So thanks in advance for all the help that I will be requesting in the future.

Cheers,

Josh

Congrats on the Jeep!

And welcome from Southern Illinois!...we're enjoying our White Christmas here as well...

Lots of good info here...and a huge group of good, friendly folks willing to help out.

A helpful hint is to put your rigs info in your signature...that way when you ask questions, people will know which model you're asking about.

Enjoy!

Great Christmas for you! Great wife too. We had snow in Raleigh starting last night. I can't remember if we have ever had snow here on Christmas day. Retry the pictures please.

I got a Jeep keychain under the tree yesterday. I doubt anyone here wants to see pics.

Speaking of pics, we should probably see pics of the Grand Wagoneer and your wife. She sounds like a Keeper. I too am lucky to have a tolerant wife who works with my FSJ addiction. I know you're going to have a Happy New Year!

I think I might have figured it out.

Almost bought mud tires today. I have a friend that was selling a set that was already on rims. Went over there only to find out that they wouldn't fit, not because the lug nuts didn't match but because that center area that I thought was for show actually sticks out preventing the new rims to fit on. That is that called, and why? So now I'm going to have to take those tires and put them on my stock rims. Its going to have to wait till next weekend. Oh well : (

That's your front hub sticking out on the front axle.

NICE FSJ. And in the SNOW, even!

I think we're all envious of you right now. But wait until she says SHE wants an FSJ of her own!!!

What a great gift!

I got carhart coveralls and boots good to -40... Great things to have if you actually DRIVE the jeep when the weather happens to be chilly (comes in handy for those times when you wind up under the hood instead of in the cab)... Thats and a AAA card

Though so far all I used them for was recovering the neighbors stuck cars... LOL
