Question of the day, just drove back from lunch and and noticed a couple things that I thought I would ask about. While driving I noticed that the accelerator would get stuck a bit but I could get it loose by tapping the pedal a bit. I think that this might be related to the next problem. The truck seems to be idleing slightly faster than normal and when I shut the truck off the engine dieseled a bit. I have noticed that the truck has a anti-diesling solenoid but maybe it does not work properly. The truck worked fine last night and I seem too remember something like this happening with the truck about 2 or 3 months ago. Any one have any ideas?

if the anti diesel sol wasnt working it would decrease idle speed. Mabye your carb is getting hung up on the choke linkage and doin the faster choke idle. .. its definatly a carb thing i would say. something is not working the way it should be

It does sound like a carb thing as Clark said. Also check your accelerator cable and pedal. The engine dieseling is caused by the high idle. You throttle plates are not closing fully when the pedal is released. Maybee the return spring on the carb fell off?

Just some thoughts
