Goodness!
What are you planning to install this monster into?

I have a Summit 8601 cam out in the shop, but decided against it.
I felt it was not good for the towing duties my rigs sees.
That cam is good if your 360 will be turning some R's

Tell me about those Rhodes lifters....how will they help the low end?

At lower rpms they help make the cam seem like a smaller cam at higher rpms they pump up to get more out of the cam(higher lift)

rhoads lifters are a fast bleed down lifter, meaning you lose some lift and duration of the cam under about 3500-4000 rpm. above that rpm full lift and duration is restored. i have their new v-max lifters, which are adjustable for how much lift and duration is cut under 4K rpm. i can set them for up to .030 lift reduction, and 20 degrees duration reduction, which means under 4000 rpm my 8601 cam will behave like a performer grind, but above 4000 rpm it'll revert back to the full 8601 lift/duration,giving strong mid/top end.

Do you already have Headman headers?

http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=80690&page=2&highlight=best+heade rs

If you must have them, I have mine available (1 1/2 years old 1300 miles). Pay for shipping and they are yours. But I don't recommend Headman.

they drop right in. custom pistons are needed-compression height, and either 1" pins,or bushed rods. custom pistons are readily available.

my block needed a little easy grinding at the base of the cylinders to clear the bigger 401 rod ends.
