I'm putting my gas tank back together for re-installation, when I noticed that the steel return line at the top of the fuel sending unit is loose. I'd like to try to fix it before buying a new unit. Is this something I can solder? If so, what kind of flux should I use. I notice that there's acid core, resin core, and others. Any suggestions are appreciated; I have an iron, but just barely know how to use it.

... I resemble that problem!

I cleaned, degreased and sanded the area then J.B.Welded the area. That was well over ten years ago and no problems since.
