NV4500 with NP208 - clocking

I am going to use my Dodge gas NV4500 (23 spline output) with my Jeep NP208. I have read some places that they fit together with no issues. Some places say I need a spacer. Some say it won't be clocked correctly.

Can any of you who have actual first hand knowledge of the NV4500/NP208 combo clarify which is correct?

It will be ending up in a 76-83 wagoneer or 4 door cherokee running a drivers side drop D44 and 2" of lift (if that matters)

Thanks

I have that exact same setup... no issues with clocking or spacing. Fit right in.

That is good to know. I was considering spending the $450 to SYE the NP241DLD that is currently behind the NV4500. Using the NP208 and selling the 241 will save me some money.

Are you running a hydraulic clutch or mechanical?
