I have found that the hilift is a good auto body tool. I rolled my VW Sciroccoo last winter, and the roof was caved in a little too much to allow the driver's door to close. In comes the hilift...I put it in the door opening along the door sill on a block of wood to disperse the load, and jacked it up...after some creaking and groaning, my roof was relatively straight and my door closed with no problems. To this day I am still driving the VW as a DD. A poorman's port-o-power! Lets hear some other interesting uses

I used it to take out a big dent on my bed rail on the truck. uhm I used it to pull a motor out of a burned R.V., the jack handle makes a great leverage tool.

I've used it instead of a chain fall to take a machine apart before I put it down in the basement.
There's the ol' break the bead on a tire trick too. Place bace plate on flat tire...jack up bumper till bead pops off.

My dad told me about how when his family moved to Alaska in 1962, my grandfather used two hi-lifts to pull a travel trailer about 12' sideways out of a muddy ditch somewhere in the interior.

Used it as a come-a-long to pull down a dead tree.
Use the handel as a breaker bar all the time.
It also makes a great whiffel ball bat in a pinch.
Dipping the end in the grip maker or electric tape a dozen time over the course of a couple days and letting it sit for a weeks make it much nicer to use and helps quite the chatter when driving.

I used to have a ratty CJ-5 that I would jack up out of the mud and such and kick it off the jack. The Jeep would move a little and ya' keep doing it until your out. I also cracked one of my teeth and jaw with one at the Y-O Ranch Jamboree. OUCH!! Be careful because they can bite.
