Trans/engine temp ranges

Does anyone have any idea what the temperature ranges are where the transmission bell housing interfaces with the engine block?

I have received a donor trans that has a hole in this area that needs patching. I was thinking of using alumiweld to fill in this area. Alumiweld has a melting temp of 730* F. I believe it would be safe to use but not 100% sure.

730 is ALOT!!! It doesn't get that hot! If it did, you would have MUCH bigger problems. I bet it does not get any hotter than about 200 degrees on a hot summer day...
