I finally finished the rear disk brake conversion on my Jeep D60. After several months of working with a fabber back and forth, I finally received the final product. Those of you that have a J truck probably already know about the rear springs leaving very little choices when it comes to clocking the caliper brackets. Although, 10 o'clock would have been ideal, my best choice was to clock it at 4 o'clock. That leaves room for the calipers and caliper bolts.
The seller of the conversion kit includes everything including brackets, rotors, calipers, pads, flex line, bolts, nuts, washers, caliper bolts, spacers, and banjo bolts....all for $250. If you want a parking brake, add $150 for rear Eldorado calipers (which I got).
I'll be doing a write up soon. But, I still have to install that axle under my J10 yet and connect the brake lines.

OK...added some more pics with brief descriptions.
Rear axle just bolted in.

Drivers side flexline connection to new and small hardline. This was less than desirable. However, due to where the splitter was located, there was no other choice.

Here is another view of the driver side flexline/hardline connection.

Here is a view of the more desirable passenger side flexline.

Here is a view of the new hardline strapped down with the oem clips.

Here is a view of the passenger side with tire on. The brackets/calipers tuck right in there nicely.

And lastly, just a pic of the driverside rear with tire on. I'm tired.

neat setup!
are you worried about that short hardline fatiguing from constant vibration?
so the kit bolts to the original flange and there is no cutting / welding on the axle?

not terribly worried right now. but, it's something i'll be watching.
yes...the kit bolts to the original D60 flange. no cutting or welding on the axle. if you wanted to go back to drum brakes, you could.

I haven't been able to drive it yet...Because, I have no brakes. Still waiting for the replacement extended brake line to come in. Maybe it will be on my door step when I get home later.
With that being said, I haven't been able to bleed the brake lines and test how well the conversion works. If everything is a go, I'll forward you his name and contact info if you are interested.

Looks good Mike.

I can say that I hate bleeding the rear drum brakes on a D60. The spring pack is to close to the bleeder screw leading to a MESS!

Looks like you won't have a problem at all with that set-up.

I hear that. But, no new brake line yet. I can't believe it takes 7 or more days to ship from Tacoma, WA. I could have been driving and testing Saturday morning. Maybe it will show up Wednesday.
