Thanks Dave,
Surprisingly easy to build, as long as you have two intakes to start with

205 Auto Salvage in North East Portland, If you talk with Billy he will most likely just let you go back and look at them all.

I think I have the old gauge cluster bezel that I had in my 82 wag. Looked just like yours. If you are still interested in making your own panel, It's yours for the taking. Back in the late 80's I cut all the gauges out of it and made my own Tach/speedo/amp gauge cluster.

If you want it, pm me. You might be able to use it as a mock up piece without destroying yours.

The front flares are immaculate on both, but the first Chero in the pic has pretty bad rears. The second has repairable rears. Overall really good. Plus the rest of the second one is really clean, the first one has bad runners but again I'd use it as a donor to the second.

Thanks Marc, I used yours as inspiration!

I was at the same yard a few years back. They had just gotten the black Waggy with the rear damage in. It was hit hard in the rear... but otherwise pristine!!!

They wouldn’t sell any parts off it then as they were trying to sell it complete. I wonder what it’s status is now.

They are trying to do the same with the Cherokees in the picture.

Cool to know there is another FSJ member that close in Oregon.

Dude, there is an unfair amount of FSJers in Oregon. I don't know what it is about that state that brings all the FSJs out there but there are SOOOooo many.

Grabbed the old Wedding Wagon for the weekend. Here is a shot of all 3 of my cars, didn't mean to park em like this just happened by chance. I realized though I have a very unusual taste in vehicles as pointed out by my wife

Weekend before last was the wifes birthday, went out for wine tasting in the Wagon! Drove like a champ, so proud! Shes rough but a total driver at this point, it was really cool to see how excited people get when they see one of these (myself included). Heres a shot at a winery.

Yeah! Score! Those will look much better on your rear quarter over the tail light. Is that what you are thinking? I love cruising stories like:

That is exactly what i was thinking, right now we just have the stick on block letter style. I like these much better and should match the other emblems we are trying to find.

Cruising in an old Wag is pretty cool. I usually get a couple thumbs up from other drivers when I have ours out.

Is that the only piece of chrome you are missing? The one on the rear door?

as far as other motorists admiring the wagoneer,....

as you know, they will look right past a 50 thousand + vehicle

and be in awe of a cool classic in any condition,.....

and a lot of times the person in awe of the worn classic

is riding in a new 60 thousand dollar SUV !!!

funny !

glad you had a good trip.

That is pretty cool! Unusual taste? Yep! Not many people would be willing to see the beauty in an old wago like that. I see why you have all 3 of those. what a great paddock.

Thanks Marc!

Well I am finally working on the 401! If you count taking off 1 literally 1 exhaust manifold working on it.
The wife got excited the other day when she saw how nice the engine my old man rebuilt for a Toyota Camry and I said our 401 will look better when Im done.
Good news I took off the manifold to check if the exhaust valves had been changed to stainless steel which they have! Which means when the rebuild on this was done it got upgraded to run on unleaded fuel. Party Bonus!

Look for more updates in the coming weeks.
