I was at York a few weeks ago and was a little disappointed with the turnout this year. On the other hand Carlisle ATN was excellent this year which is a change from last year.
Hopefully 09 will have the bigger turnouts again.

I want a big turnout, this way people can mark the date and plan their projects

No matter how far in advance I know about an event I'll still end up tearing half my truck apart 2 weeks prior and then scramble to get it done in time.
I still want to hit the jeep shows around Erie Pa. and CT. eventually too.

How big is the Jeff Daniels show? Looks almost doable for a day drip.

I'd hit that one if I could get my Waggy to go more than 2 blocks without cutting out on me I'm tempted to pull the 258 out of the J10, it was a stinkbug but never left me down.

I went to the York PA show this summer, and I have to say it was the best one I've been to all summer as far as FSJ parts. York always has a problem with TJ owners outnumbering the other Jeeps, but this year seemed fairly balanced.
I got an FSJ brushguard for $100, and fixed my XJ's ailing Air Conditioning for $15. Best day trip of this summer for my father and I. My father and I will be back next year, hopefully with the waggy towing the Willys

I thought your new motor was running like a top? Got electrical problems again?

Was, no it's decided to retard itself so far it dies everytime I step on the gas.
I need to spend some quality time ripping out and replacing vacuum lines, fix the leaks in the exhaust , power steering , and rear diff pinion , and then I'll be good again. But now is the time for work on the house before boy #2 arrives in November (he better wait till then). I'm in lead paint busting mode now!

Dave, thanks for the offer, I'll think about it but I think September's going to be all about redoing/painting my #1 son's new room.
I've got a 65 yo house and before I move him into his new room I've taken all the trim/doors/windows/radiator covers down to bare wood. Now I need to finish removing some old wallpaper, sand and reseal the floor, paint the whole thing and rig up some electric heat for the middle of the night when the furnace doesn't seem to want to come on ('cause I ain't paying $4/gal to heat the house when we're sleep).
Then I get to touch up his existing room before son #2 shows in November.
Did I mention I only get about 6 hours on Sat and Sun to do this each week when he's not sleeping next door
Oh and a couple of Penn State & Ravens games and "Elmo's Green Thumb" at the Baltimore Arena (all in Sept). Come to think of it this might be why the Jeep isn't running right
I go to work to get away from it all (and to migrate 5 servers to VMware, coordinate moving 40 peoples computers back into a building that's been under construction for a year, implement a pay for print solution and get 105 courses online in Blackboard by Sept 2nd). I love my job

Scrambler
The Green Scrambler with the diesel that's still not finished, guy has spent over 75K.
That $ didn't even get him NOS parts, all were the Crown junk replacements, bestop seats.....
Wiring looked messy, paint was just OK....etc....
I had high hopes before the show as that was one of the Jeeps I wanted to see.
Guess that tells Ya if U want it done right do it UR self.
