No laughing here, other than tire size you are still bigger than my baby jeep. Mine does not deserve a full size jeep badge, other than the 360!!!!

Yesterday about a mile west of the BP Checkpoint on i25. Lol I'm not good for any more than trail running, and hopefully I will have my '75 (31s, few inch lift) tuned in time- although its still not good for much more than trail running

It's in one piece and running so you are doing something right.

at the mouth of box or broad canyon today
Box or Broad Canyon ( i get the names mixed up. close to the border patrol check point on 185). A full load with myself, my dad, my wife, daughter, bro in law, niece and a nephew. I entered the desert right after the Blue Moon Bar and exited right passed the Border Patrol checkpoint on 185. Only one issue with a wash in the road, I had the passenger front tire up in the air and the rear driver side was hanging about a foot above the ground. Threw some rocks under and off I went. Made me realize I need some more flex and fender clearance.... And my temp gauges appear to be off- didnt have any overheating issues

Great info, now we will have to do some strange maneuvering for our two rigs, we will have trailer as far as possible and either catch a ride back to get my truck or camp out that night, any ideas where to leave a 32foot trailer and my truck that it won't get messed with if we camp out?

Yessir we have a few acres about a mile north of the Blue Moon... the canyon immediately after the road the enters the desert going up hill... Its called Foster Canyon.
You are more than welcome to store your tow rig and trailer. Our place is fenced in a chained up.
I am so looking forward to seeing a caravan of FSJs in the desert at night

Yessir that is us. There are 7 properties in the canyon, we are the 2nd place on the left. Our property actually extends to the top of the hill where the road enters the desert, but no fences up there. Down in the canyon we have plenty of space for those who would like a little security while running trails.
You can actually see the J10 Honcho:

Well I've pretty much decided to go ahead and drive the Honcho down there. Pending a compression test and some TLC to the motor....

LOL - It's been a while since I've seen that vid. Need to pop it in again.
Well I have some good news and some bad news on the J10. Good news is the compression test came back pretty decent. Lowest cylinder was 130 highest was 140. This was taken with the throttle plates closed and halfway warmed up.
Bad news is that darn #6 plug lost it's gap (again).
That was causing the erratic idle. The gap was pretty much closed. I could barely see light in it. It had 135 compression.
