axle question

I have an 85 wag with the amc20/m23 rear and dana44 front. I want to run at least a 35 tire. Should i beef up these axles or upgrade. I can get a dana 60 rear out of a 78 f250 fairly reasonable and I found a high pinion 44 out of a 78 ford. Should i purchase these items or upgrade mine? I will be wheeling on mustly hills but i don't want to be afraid of the rocks.

If you can get the stronger axles for a good price do that and be done with it. You will end up upgrading later, and that money will have been wasted beefing up your current axles.
