Oh geez, I forgot to update you...I sure did! No pics from pinning though...my daughter was in charge of the camera and couldn't quite figure it out. My folks got a couple good ones...I'll have to send to you.

Say, Flint says you may be wanting a 208? I may be wanting to sell...cheap.

Good to know. She kept telling me she left them there the whole way home (whenever she wasn't sleeping)

Are you bringing the family or rolling solo?

I guess we are taking too long to decide on this.

Now it looks like if we go we will be stuck on the outskirts of all the FSJ action

You may be able to double up with somebody. Ryan (Gambler68) was looking at getting a site that way with grand_wag_85. There can be 2 vehicles and 2 tents at each campsite the last time I checked. You could ask around. If y'all do that, just tell KOA y'all are family.

Hey Flint, Ya think Dave would let us do some FSJ stuff in the open area south of the OF since we have the WHOLE south side of the camp ground? Things like the potluck (if we do this), the drawing (if we do this) or just a general meeting area? You think the will come tell us not to disturb the other campers even though the majority are all with us? 9 more tent sites left and we will have the whole south west side of the camp ground. Let's get them filled up folks. The more we take up the less room for the Yota folks.

I know 48, 49 and 50 are big enough for 2 tents, and you won't be in anyone's way. I think most tent sites are about the same. I know I felt a little guilty for taking up the WHOLE site in 48 last summer by myself...well, okay, Alan's rig was there for a night, and someone else's for the rest of the time, and I had plenty of room. Besides, $27.00 a night isn't so bad if you split it.

I don't know if I'll be alone yet or not...the whole rest of the year is really up in the air right now. IF Kathy makes Chief...IF she deploys...IF she doesn't make it and we move...IF I even make it...

We'll know a whole lot more in 6 months.

John, listen to your wife more. I found out the hard way, several times, mine is usually right.

lstoltenbe001 - Wow, you said group all right! What you got is a daygone tribe! Welcome aboard!

Pam - Since they started putting RVs in the grassy area, I am not sure how far that would go. Good Idear. I am gonna ponder it for a bit along with the potluck and raffle.

Hey all, if I can get the 4BT in the 88 waggy it'll be there. If not I'll bring the 73 truck, minus the plow ofcourse.

I need the get the vacation time approved before I can reserve a site, but by the looks of it I had better hurry!

I'm bummed, my 78' Chief is having some issues and I don't have the $$$$ to get it running in time for this event, or for the summer for that matter. My wife has a chronic illness so needless to say most of my time, energy and $$ go to her care. Unfortunately the 78' Chief has taken a back seat lately and is buried in my driveway under 3 feet of snow.

If I show up for one of those days, would someone let me bum a ride for a day of 4-wheeling...? I can be the photographer, spotter, whatever....

sorry to hear that. Of course there's always an open seat somewhere!!

With the price of gas, I wouldn't be surprised to see $4 a gallon this summer. Ridesharing may be the ticket for some!

Heck, I didnt even bring an FSJ my first 2 invasions

Sharing a camp spot would probably make it alot easier for us to go since I lost my job after Thanksgiving.

We are also buying BurningMan tickets this month and have Moab coming up soon and we gotta go to Ouray because we missed it last year.

Is anyone else on here going to go to BurningMan?

I *want* too very badly. $$ of course..last time I checked it was $150 to get in..then you gotta take care of all your 'needs' of course.

I think some year I'll just plan it out, cruise out in the 59 Rambler Wagon or maybe, maaaaybe take an FSJ. Make an expedition out of it.

or just say screw it and hitchhike

There are also mini-burningmans in every state, UT and CO included..

You guys will like Ouray. Compared to Moab, it's baby wheeling. But it's a trip getting up there in elevation and seeing part of the world that very very very few get to see. And there's plenty of exploration side trips to check out aside from the usual "let's go do Imogene today" stuff. Last year I was like "what's up that road?!" and our group had a BLAST.

It took me 3 years to even be able to make it to a meet. I've been twice now and the Jeep almost made it the first time and never left the driveway the second time. I'll be there again this year with or without my Jeep. This year I'm trying a different jeep as the J20 doesn't like it west of the Mississippi River for some reason.
