that might be fun. I don't have a roll bar/cage but plan to have one soon.
I need some recovery points too (new bumpers is what I am thinking) and I will mount the winch at that time.

I don't like the "Your vehicle must be stripped of all lettering/logos not part of the Ultimate Adventure." rule. That means my IFSJA wouldn't be allowed...

I'm not applying just yet. Still need to complete some more work like finishing the exo and swapping in another motor/tranny. I really want a 4L80E and newer model chevy V8.

It's currently setup pretty good with AMC 360/NV4500/Atlas 4spd/chevy 1 tons/ 5.38's and detroits. I just got back from my own 1000 mile trip in this jeep.

I've put around 10,000 miles in this configuration, including towing my camper a few times and wheeling all over the place.

I figure it's unique enough to catch the eye of the folks over at Petersens and might have a chance...

Go for it! I'd like to see your rig tackle it. They sure take a beating on the trail though!! Are you prepared to deal with the almost certain carnage?

Go for it.

I'm interested in what they will say.

Good luck to you.

I applied a couple of weeks ago. Haven't heard a thing from them though.

They said they would notify everyone on April 1st. I'm really excited! Just wish I knew where it was going to be held this year.

Since you're not allowed a chase vehicle carrying cargo or parts, how are you going haul all the crap you need with you? I hope they choose ya, represent!

I have bought another waggy from goofy on this board. Gonna use that body on my truggy and will have lots of spare parts all labeled, crated and ready to ship to wherever I'm at when they fail.

Well they are supposed to announce the selected participants for the UA today!

I'm really hoping they picked me!

Rick Pewe from Petersens 4wheeoffroad called and left a voice mail, saying he wanted to discuss the UA! Wish I hadn't missed the call!
