U joint woes....
I am having problems finding the correct U joint and hoped you guys could help. I have searched and read many posts on here but can't find the answer.
It's for my 1974 Cherokee, 4.2L, T-18, Dana 20 case.
I am looking for the REAR joint on the REAR driveshaft.
The one that came off of it (original one??) has 2 inside clips & 2 outside clips on the U joint. All the replacement ones have either 4 inside clips or 4 outside clips.......
Can't seem to find the correct one.  |

Iirc the spicer brand ones I bought had like 8 different ones included.

They had 8 different what....snap rings? The grooves on the cups have to be different also |

I've never seen a u-joint that used 4 clips???
Possibly you're overthinking this? If there is room/groove for normal setup of 2 outside clips, install a new joint and be done with it.

I've never run ntto that type of conversion joint, but they exsist and are available.
You would have to measure the diameter of the caps and the length of the joint in both directions, then match that to the appropriate conversion u joint.
