Early controls on VintageAir or similar?

Just playing with ideas, could not find anything in searches.
I really like the look of the older heater/air/defrost controls. I am wondering if anyone has reworked them to work with an aftermarket heat/air system.

I have a dash from a '69 1414X that I am disassembling with hopes of using in my 88 GW, or at least parts of it. The climate control panel (chrome one that mounts separately on the left of the speedometer on the early rigs) is in really good shape. I much prefer this look over the late model version. Just curious if anyone has made it work.

Vintage Air has cable sliders that will send the position of your controls to the AC units ECU. I think they are model specific but it's something to look into .

Thanks, I will take a look. I have read where some folks don't care for the older controls due to limitations of selectivity, but if I can make it work, I think it just looks "right".

Do you wanna sell any of the parts? I just purchased a 1414x completely intact minus a few dash items.
