Build thread - 3x Grand Wagoneer 89/90/91

Finally got some time to document the past months of work.

The project is the following:The idea initially came from Jeep. The Wagoneer is getting celebrated this year for it's 50th anniversary.
Not that they are making a big event out of it; we still thought it would be a nice recognition to the brand to make 3x late model mint restoration... And guess what: AMC colored: Spinnacker Blue, Colorado Red and White.

In 6 weekends we got 3 Jeeps completely disassembled. Of course, you don't get to see all of it (chassis disassembly, engine, transmission, etc..) but that's also all in the process of getting restored.

A few shots of at least 2 of the 3 and more to come in the upcoming weeks.

Any source of NOS parts, anyone willing to participate in this project is absolutely welcome.

Our soul target is to make the three very best Grand Wagoneers on this planet.

As you will see, the disassembly has brought members from the club from all over Europe (Belgium, France, Italy, Austria, The Netherlands) to come together and to work on this.
Everyone has his speciality and every person on here is simply crazy about the Jeep!

Body sandblasted, now the major body work, then metalizing against rust then back to paintshop.

Axles disassembled, casing dipped in grease remover for 2 days, closed down then sandblasted, metalized and epoxy coated.

New bearings, bushings all the way.

Looks like it will be MUCH better than Wagonmaster. That outfit only spruces them up. I think when these are done, they truly will be better than new.

great idea with the color choices!! Curious, how are these projects funded? Seems you have some on display in pictures of your shop, or is everything for sale?

cant wait to see progress

PS: Is that long block cast 5.9 or 360
