Next cluster I have to deal with is all the wires under the dash. I"am installing after market gauges, And I'am not good with electrical.

I bought A gauge cluster from Zack at Z&M jeeps and It comes with A very detailed set of instructions. I read over them several times and it is pretty straight forward.

I had to buy a gear drive starter to clear that oil supply line that comes out of the side of the pan, no way to run a stock starter. Probably had the headers, starter, and trans cooler lines off and on ten times. All very tight, but all of it fits.

Thanks to all for the positive feed back! As most who have tried to work on these rigs, it seems like they are kicking and screaming at you the whole time, almost like a little kid. Also thanks for the link on that decal. not sure what I will be doing with that yet.

know the vehicle like the back of your hand

when a bug comes up later
you know exactly how it all was done
and that is a huge advantage.

The rubber welting that goes between the fender and inner fender was bad so I made new ones over a year ago. Was going to put them on with rivets but they sit to high so I made some stainless staples. Not sure if it is worth the effort, so if yours are still intact, try and save them. Took a piece of flat bar and drilled it the same size as the factory staples, but I went with larger wire.

Bend a piece of wire to fit the jig.

Hammer away and cut to length.

Knock the new staple out.

Had to hang the fender and then mark both the rubber and inner fender well to get it aligned correctly. Used a pair of vice grips to hold the staple in place while I tried to bend it over.

One side down, one to go. Trying to get the inner fender wells done so I can start attaching my wiring harness to them.
