69 dash with modifications similar to BigJ200’s. We went to a Vintage Air Mag Gen IV (which i am still amazed at the compact size of!). Modified the steering column mount area so the XJ column set in correct place. Modified the plastics piece that went under the late model steering column to go on the old dash. I think it looks pretty good. Since I went to a hazard light button on the dash, a piece of exhaust pipe was used to make a surround for the steering column to clean it up some. I always hated those hazard pull tabs on the columns. Probably too much time in Europe where the hazard button is prominent on the center of the dash.
We ended up going with push-button switches instead of the large toggles.

The gallery with buckets of pictures of progresss.. the dash work is kinda scattered throughout. This includes the shops pictures and some I have taken during visits.

I'm digging the dash. I was thinking of doing something similar with the center section but just haven't done it yet. I have a spare dash that's gonna be the guinea pig. Nice work!

It has only taken, um, 14 years for me to get this far..
And it will not be "done" when I pick it up from the shop, but it will be a giant step closer!
I am pretty excited about seeing it become a reality instead of sketches and crappy photo/paint renderings that I have played around with for years.
Of course, in the back of my head is this little voice that keeps whispering, "you know you gotta update the engine/trans...right?" It never ends!

new website for Page Customs.
Progress continues with dash mods and the roof is now painted.
The guys in the shop keep mentioning that they never really appreciated how big these things are..

These pics of the base coat make so sort of wish I had gone with a mat clear coat.. maybe next time.
Roof, hood, doors and tailgate are painted and in process of sanding.

i see what you mean about the sheen after base coat.
a matte or satin clear would look cool
but gloss is going to look great too
love the color, it is going to be impressive and unique.
i will repeat, cant wait to see this rig on the road/trail.

Some Assembly Required
I was out at Page's today to visit. Things have really moved along!
They convinced me to go black on the trim. I wasn't sure, but when I opened the door and saw it, I knew it was a good call. They painted and cleared all of it, including the tail lights.
I made the call awhile back to mount the side marker lights without the angled thing behind them. Seeing them on the rig, I think it really works well.
The guys in the shop and I went a few rounds on the grill. I was not keen to paint one of the razors black, but decided to let them paint one and I would decide whether it stayed or the other one I have went on. I think it looks good and, again, really helps set off the paint.
A complete weatherstripping kit and a few extras are going in. They are putting a set of the '91 window regulators in (no more plastic flex track!).
The dash is a freakin' work of art! I literally stood there and stared at it, talked to the guys about various things, and came back to the dash..repeatedly.
Hopefully this link goes to my file of photos: https://imgbox.com/g/rNuIasKYrS
Here is the shop's new webpage. It is a little bit of a chore to get to the latest photos as you can't skip to the last screen..
https://www.pagecustoms.com/project/...rand-wagoneer/
I am pretty excited!

Your dash does really look amazing. I think the black door handless looks super cool too.

Well, she didn’t come home today. A couple of small things that the shop will address before I take it (they pointed them out to me).
First time in the sunlight... she sure is purdy!

Not sure if they are showing up above as they just look like empty boxes on my tablet for some reason.

Any updates? The last few pictures are stunning. The work they did to make the rear doors clear the flares is incredible. That color with the black trim is amazing, too. Its going to look stunning with the bumpers and everything back on....

Not too much at present. Jeep it still at Page. There were a couple of small things that needed to be addressed and I opted to leave it with them instead of taking it home and then having to work out when to bring it back to them.
Punch list for when I get it back:
1. figure out mounting brackets for the '09 Grand Cherokee seats
2. wiring for stereo/navigation unit, seats, lights, etc.
3. decide on front/rear bumpers design (SBF most likely)
4. install ABS interior panels (as-is until can afford to have interior done)
5. decide on wheels and tires
6. window tinting
7. steering wheel
..and decide what direction to go on the drivetrain.
and about 1000 other small things, I am sure.
But I intend to be driving it in in the Spring, regardless of how much of the above list is complete.
Glad you like it. I am excited to get it back.

If you do get it driving in the spring, please try to make ECI in June, we would love to check it out....
