How do 3 belts break at the same time?
All My Belts Broke As I Was Turning Into Work This Morning Except The Power Steering Pump To Smog Pump Belt. According To The McParts Sites, There Are Different Belts For The Different Amperage Alternators.
How Can I Tell Which Alternator I Have?

Water Pump Spins Freely, I Can Hear It Pumping The Water. I Heard The Snap Of The Belt As I Was Turnin Into The Parking Lot And Thought The Engine Died Because No Power Steering, But It.Was Running Fine.
Coincidence?

All the same age one broke & took the others out tangling itself in the pulley & mechanism. Could have happened.

Yeah
It died from belt binding if the center belt comes off it will take the other 2 out. They wrap around the pulley & kill the engine.

I Think That's What Probably Happened! Looks Like The Ribs On One Belt Are Sheared Off, And One Was Wrapped Around The WaterPump

Fan Belt Mites.
They eat the fan belt, weakening the belts, causing them to break.
Fan Belt Mites are very difficult to get rid of.
I think Ristow has a home brew remedy that makes these Fan Belt Mites sick, but does not kill them, for Ristow is a true Humanitarian

Those damm v-belts are one of a couple reasons I converted to a serpentine setup. I HATE v-belts.
