Power mirror control: clip or?

I just went to replace what I thought was a missing control for my power side view mirrors and found that the original one wasn't missing at all--it had fallen into the door cavity while the previous owner had it. Is there a clip that holds the control module against the door panel? I fished around and couldn't find anything loose behind the interior panel, so I figured that it must have fallen out long ago.

TIA,

Julia

Usually there is a very small allen screw that holds the handle and adjuster assy in place. This is for the older chrome joystick types. Look on the bottom of the bezel to see if that is what you have.
