Are you sure it's the door seals. FSJ's are prone to water coming in around the door glass, fresh air vents and some other not so obvious places.

Did you compare the float arm on the old one to the arm on the new one? A lot of the replacements on the market need some tweaking on the angle of the new arm to match the angle of the old arm.

I used well nuts on mine when I got around to re-attaching the loose mounts. Mine were factory (no small mirrors were removed) and the holes were the right size for the well nuts and they worked...
