I think it's the round silver thing on the front of the throttle body, which should make access super easy but I have no idea what part they used for it.

Yes I knew about that, it seems it was a fairly common issue and the solution was to run the pump off a relay with a fuel pressure regulator.

So then I moved the spark plug wires as far away from the tach wire as possible....
