The 401 w/manual trans from the factory was/is extremely rare in FSJ's. For finding a used 401 flywheel or leads to a new one you'll prolly have better luck on an AMC/Rambler/AMX forum.

I don't remember exactly. It's been years since I've messed with a T18 but for use with a 360/401 it's just a bit over 10". I think 10.125" or maybe 10.250" The one for the 258 I-6 IIRC is about 4"...

The input shaft length of the T18 will have to match the AMC motor. Short shaft if the trans came from behind the 258. Long input shaft if it came from a 360/401....
