A good friend uses them religiously on a SOA Waggy setup. It gets wheeled moderately hard and travels the roads and Interstate. I think he is on his third set in almost 20 years.

AMC V8 oil pressure sender adapter

This adapter is steel with 1/8" NPT female to 3/8" NPT male. It fits on right side of 290 through 401 block near the oil filter.

You will not be wiring in a coil. HEI is a one wire wonder. The coil is built into the distributor cap.
