Looks like someone put the thermostat in upside down as I had expected. New one is in with new gasket and new bypass hose. Hopefully can start tuning tomorrow.

Not to discredit the previous answers, but speaking from experience, if a problem occurs after a recent change and there was no previous issue - the problem 8 times out of 10 is in the change....

I cleaned up one of the Razor trim rings with some fine sandpaper on a air powered sander (small DA). I think they were 2000 or 4000 grit pads with some triple cut compound.

Mine is U shaped. It is a little hard to get it from one side of the U to the other. Sometimes moving forward/backward a little helps the gears mesh.
